Vanguard Preaching Camp
The Vanguard Camp for Biblical Preaching is a mentoring program for middle and high school age young men who have a vision to devote themselves to ministry in God’s kingdom as preachers, missionaries, teachers and church leaders.
Faulkner University’s V.P. Black College of Biblical Studies mission is to develop the whole person through spiritual, character, and intellectual formation for service in God’s kingdom through sharing the gospel in order to improve the spiritual and physical well-being of people.
The weekend of camp is filled with classes, activities, and hands on opportunities to help young men work on their leadership skills. Many of the teachers are professors in our Bible department at Faulkner University. Other sessions may be taught by preachers, youth ministers, and elders of the Lord’s church. The purpose of each session is to address situations or issues that a young man may face and how to be prepared to face them.
The camp is not only for classes, but it is also a time for young men to grow closer to others who have the same zeal to serve the Lord. This comradery happens in the dorm rooms together, through games at free time, or spiritual challenge sessions at night. It is amazing what happens when friendships are made and bonds are formed all while seeking after the will of God.
If you are interested in wanting to know how to be a godly leader in your home, church, or any facet of life then you will not want to miss out on Faulkner University’s Vanguard Preaching Camp.
