Faulkner students, Tracy Clark, Emma Revels and Madelyn Furlong received the new Center for Great Books and Human Flourishing’s Undergraduate Great Books Honors Fellow scholarships totaling $500 each.
Clark, Revels and Furlong submitted a 500 word essay explaining their unique interests and qualifications to become a Great Books Fellow.
“Their persuasive essay demonstrated specific contributions they would bring to the Great Books Program and plans they have for how their Thesis research will contribute to the scholarship and human flourishing,” said Dr. Andrew Jacobs , director of Great Book Honors.
All three recipients are Great Books Honors students who have a minimum of 3.5 GPA, are actively pursuing a Great Books Honors degree and have completed at least two Great Books courses.
They are active in recruiting, Great Summer and Faulkner Admission’s Scholar’s Day and College Bound and serve on the Great Books Honors Council.
Scholarships will renew annually and increase to $1,000 scholarships per academic year.
