Program Details
School counselors must listen to students’ concerns about social, academic and family issues, and in the Master of Education School Counseling program, you’ll learn the tools needed to navigate these situations. The program comprises 56 credit hours of coursework with a focus on counseling theories, human development, legal and ethical issues, multicultural education, psychology and other related topics. You’ll also be required to complete clinical training at our Montgomery campus, as well as a 600-hour internship in counseling.
