Faulkner PhD Student Awarded Scholarship From Church of Christ Foundation

The Church of Christ Foundation has awarded a $2,500 scholarship to Jason Campbell, a PhD student in Biblical studies at Faulkner University.

Campbell, who met all the qualifications, is pursuing his doctorate in Biblical studies. He is also a two-time Faulkner graduate, earning degrees in 2013 and 2024, and serves as minister at Upland Church of Christ in Upland, California.

“The Church of Christ Foundation awards scholarships yearly to students who are members of a Church of Christ, reside in our five-county coverage area in Southern California, and attend a university affiliated with the Churches of Christ,” said Erica Campbell, administrative assistant at The Church of Christ Foundation.

Eligible counties include San Bernardino, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and Ventura. This year’s recipients each received $2,500.

Jason Campbell has served as the pulpit minister for the Upland Church of Christ since October 2017. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Ministry from Faulkner University in 2013 and his Master of Arts in Biblical Studies from Faulkner in 2024. Campbell worked for four years as the youth and involvement minister for the Oxford Church of Christ in Oxford, Alabama. Jason has been married to his wife, Erica, since August 2016 and they have two boys.
