Does the God of the Bible Exist? Debate Coming to Faulkner Bible Lectureship

Faulkner’s V.P. Black College of Biblical Studies will host a high-profile debate between Kyle Butt with Apologetics Press affirming the God of the Bible’s existence while nationally recognized Dr. Michael Shermer of the Skeptics Society and founding publisher of Skeptic magazine will deny.

The event is open and free to the public and will take place on Faulkner’s campus during Homecoming week, on Wednesday October 25, 2023 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Tine Davis Gym. Homeschooled students and students from local public and private high schools are also encouraged to attend. The Gospel Broadcasting Network will livestream and record this debate. And, it’s FREE to the public! Click here.

The debate will be one of the highlights of this year’s return of the Faulkner Bible Lectureship going on October 22-26, 2023 on the Faulkner campus. To see a list of the scheduled events, visit www.Faulkner.edu/lectureship.

“I am so excited about our lectureship and I appreciate everyone taking the time to mark those dates on their calendar,” said Faulkner President Mitch Henry. “Not only is the lectureship important for Faulkner University, but it’s important for our churches. We would love for you to be a part of what we’re experiencing here at Faulkner. On our campus last spring we baptized 13 young people and this fall we baptized 46 student! There is certainly a spiritual awakening taking place on our campus and we hope you will be as excited in your own fellowship. I’m excited about the topics and the speakers that will be there and excited about the church growth and the rebirth that can happen.”
