Faulkner University has signed a memorandum of understanding with the West Virginia School of Preaching, creating a new pathway for students to continue their biblical education by completing a bachelor’s degree at Faulkner University.

The agreement allows students who complete the West Virginia School of Preaching program to transfer up to 48 credit hours toward one of Faulkner University’s accredited Bible degree programs.

University leaders said the partnership strengthens both institutions’ shared commitment to preparing Christian leaders for ministry while expanding educational opportunities for graduates seeking advanced academic credentials.

“This is another historic day for Faulkner University as we continue to build partnerships that strengthen Christian higher education,” said Faulkner University President Mitch Henry.

The agreement enables graduates of the West Virginia School of Preaching to build on the biblical foundation established through the school’s program while earning an accredited bachelor’s degree. Completing a bachelor’s degree at Faulkner also opens the door for students to pursue graduate studies.

Dr. Todd Brenneman, dean of the V.P. Black College of Biblical Studies, said the partnership reflects Faulkner’s commitment to supporting churches and ministers throughout the Northeast.

“Being from the Northeast myself, I am always interested in trying to help the church there grow,” Brenneman said. “This agreement allows Faulkner to help WVSOP graduates continue to develop as ministers to build up the church in the Northeast.”

The partnership underscores Faulkner University’s mission to provide Christ-centered higher education while equipping students for lives of faith, service and leadership. Through collaborative agreements like this one, the university continues to expand educational opportunities for future ministers and church leaders across the country.
