Faulkner University’s College of Health Sciences and York University Sign Historic Pathway Agreement

Faulkner University’s College of Health Sciences and York University signed a historic agreement allowing eligible York students preference in three of Faulkner’s health science programs.

Faulkner President Mitch Henry and York President Timothy Westbrook signed the Memorandum of Understanding on February 10, 2026.

The agreement will enable York students interested in pursuing a degree in health sciences to complete a STEM-related degree at York and then receive preference for admission to Faulkner’s College of Health Sciences graduate programs, specifically in occupational therapyphysical therapy and speech-language pathology.

“STEM education is important for any of our colleges and universities and I can’t stress enough how important it is for our Christian schools to have graduates and professionals in the field of health sciences with a foundation of faith,” Westbrook said. “As our graduates from York University are looking toward their futures we want them to have opportunities like this and I want to thank Faulkner University and the College of Health Sciences for creating this pipeline for our graduates to continue their education and their Christian service in health services.”

Faulkner’s expanding College of Health Sciences saw a 20% increase in enrollment this fall. The recently launched nursing program, along with established professional degrees in occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech-language pathology, and physician assistant studies, continue to attract students seeking careers in healthcare. Online terminal degrees in health science (PhD and DHSc), which feature accelerated coursework, are also experiencing strong growth.

“It’s a privilege to be able to offer this pathway to York University graduates,” Henry said. “It’s not always easy to get into these health science programs around the country, but this is a testament to our love for Christian education. With York being a sister Christian college, this allows their students an opportunity to have security and clarity for their future if they want to pursue those fields.”

York University, located in Nebraska, is a Christian liberal arts institution with a mission to inspire students intellectually, physically, and spiritually through a caring Christian community of supportive peers, excellent educators, and passionate alumni. Their community provides students opportunities to engage in an experience that leads to a lifetime of growth.
