Faulkner University's Digital Media Certificate

Program Overview
Faulkner’s Digital Media Certificate is a 16-week online program designed for adults and professionals to learn how to design and produce professional media content. Taught by 2-time Emmy award-winning designer and animator Tommie Lee Washington, students will gain hands-on experience with industry-standard tools and techniques.
Students will learn to create social media graphics, websites, mobile apps, motion graphics, edited videos, and printed media. Ethical use of AI tools in Adobe Creative Cloud is also covered.
As a bonus, students can attend a 4-hour in-person workshop with Professor Washington on Faulkner’s campus, though it is not required for certificate completion.
Curriculum
- Digital Manipulation: Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator for digital artwork, vector art, and AI-powered design.
- Introduction to Motion Graphics: Adobe After Effects for 2D/2.5D animation and compositing for broadcast media.
- Website and Mobile App Design: Adobe Dreamweaver, Figma, and Sketch for responsive web and app design.
- Film & Video Editing: Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, and Final Cut Pro for professional video editing.
Cost & Start Date
- Cost: $2,000 for the full four-course program, including a one-year Adobe Creative Cloud subscription.

- Bonus Workshop: “Digital Media Tips & Tricks” with Professor Washington – optional but highly recommended!
