Wilma Phillips serves Faulkner University as the vice president of finance. She is a Faulkner graduate, having received her bachelor’s degree here in science. Phillips is responsible for all university finances, information systems, the bookstore and cafeteria. In addition to her work as vice president, Phillips serves on a number of university committees, most notably, the finance committee for the Faulkner University board of trustees. Phillips is also involved with the Southern Association of College and University Business Officers (SACUBO). She has been a board member since 2008 and served as the Small Institutions Committee Chair from 2008 to 2009. Phillips is an active member of Hunter Hills Church of Christ in Prattville and serves on numerous committees through the church. Wilma is married to Lanar Phillips. They have two sons, Brandon and Darin, and two daughters-in-law, Allison Compton Phillips and Karen Duke Phillips, all who attended Faulkner. She has six grandchildren and spends as much time as possible with them. Her other hobbies are traveling, reading and bird watching. Phillips lives on a small lake northwest of Prattville, Ala., and enjoys watching the geese, ducks and other birds from her sunroom.
