Dr. Jean-Noel Thompson
Dr. Jean-Noel Thompson joined Faulkner University as vice president for student services in 2013. He received his bachelor’s degree in organizational communication from Arizona State University, a master’s degree in student affairs in higher education from Colorado State University and a doctorate in higher education and student affairs from Indiana University. As vice president for student services and dean of students, Thompson oversees student activities, residence life, chapel programs, career services, campus security, student counseling and health services, intercollegiate athletics and intramural sports. Prior to his tenure at Faulkner University, Thompson served as vice president and dean for student life at Abilene Christian University, vice president of student life and dean of students at Grove City College in Grove City, Pa., and as vice president of student life at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix. He has also taught as an assistant professor at each of these institutions. Thompson and his wife, Tonya, have seven children and are active members of Landmark Church in Montgomery. They enjoy outdoor activities, sports, good books and movies.
