Faulkner Law Makes the Elite Eight at National Trial Competition

For the second year in a row, Faulkner Law represented Region VI in the National Trial Competition National Finals, sponsored by the American College of Trial Lawyers and the Texas Young Lawyers Association.

Three hundred fifteen trial competition teams from law schools across the nation competed for the coveted title. Only regional champions advanced to Houston, and out of that group of regional winners, Faulkner Law finished as National Quarter-finalists.

The Faulkner Law team consisted of Jeri Arrington of Smiths Station, Alabama, and Scott Smith of Dothan, Alabama. Sherri Mazur (JSL ’14) coached the team.

“I am very pleased with the team. Scott and Jeri will be excellent trial attorneys,” said Faulkner Law Director of Advocacy, Joe Lester. “By winning in Orlando and then advancing in Texas, these students have certainly proven themselves to be the best of the best.”
