Across campus, exciting improvements and enhancements are well underway, bringing meaningful upgrades to both our technology infrastructure and physical environment.
We are in the process of replacing or upgrading every lab and equipping all faculty members with Windows 11 systems, ensuring a modern, efficient, and secure computing experience. More than 80 faculty units are being deployed, and five labs will receive entirely new equipment. In addition, The existing labs—representing over 400 units in total—are being upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11. These upgrades include key spaces such as Harris 108, Mobile 140, the Johnson Library, the Computer Science department, the Girls Dorm labs, and 15 classrooms across campus.
Beyond computing upgrades, several large-scale facility enhancements are also taking place. New large LED screens are being installed in the Gym, the Rotunda, and Harris, providing improved visual capabilities for events, presentations, and campus activities.
To further strengthen campus safety, new cameras and enhanced door access systems are being implemented in multiple buildings at the front of campus. These additions will significantly improve both our cybersecurity and physical security posture, helping to create a safer and more secure environment for students, faculty, and staff.
All of these initiatives reflect our continued commitment to supporting and advancing the academic mission of the university. We remain dedicated to investing in the tools, spaces, and technologies that empower our campus community to succeed.
