December 2026 Degree Conferral

thethe The December 2026 degree conferral application Form is currently closed and will open on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 6:00 pm. You will receive an email from graduation to your Faulkner email with details on how to apply for the degree conferral and an option to participate in the December graduation ceremony.

December 2026 degrees will be conferred on Friday, December 18, 2026.

If approved for the degree, you will receive an email from Parchment to your Faulkner email between 8:00 am and 10:00 pm on December 18, 2026 to claim your electronic credential. Once claimed, the physical diploma will be sent for printing and mailing, which takes up to 30 days. The graduation fee payment covers the degree audit and the cost associated with printing and mailing your diploma.

The graduation fee payment DOES NOT include your regalia (cap & gown) cost.

The December 11, 2026, commencement ceremony will be held on Friday, December 11, 2026, in the Tine Davis Gymnasium. Ceremony details (times, number of guests, etc.) will be emailed to your Faulkner email on Friday, November 6, 2026, and posted on the website: https://www.faulkner.edu/registrar/graduation-information/

If you applied and paid the fee in a previous semester but did not receive a diploma, you will still need to submit the reapplication and pay a $15.00 reapplication fee.

You must complete the graduation application and pay the fee even if you are not attending the graduation ceremony.

The next graduation ceremony date is December 11, 2026. The other details (location, times, etc.) are still being finalized, but we will notify you once those decisions are made (as long as you select “Yes” on the graduation application when asked if you will be participating).

If you are participating in the December 2026 graduation ceremony, the regalia link to order your regalia is open, and you will have until October 25, 2026, to place your order for regalia from Jostens at https://www.jostens.com/apps/store/productBrowse/1000933/Faulkner-University/Graduation-Caps-and-Gowns/col_greg_1000933/CATALOG_COLLEGE.

**If you have a hold with our Student Accounts Office, your degree can still be awarded. However, you will not be able to get transcripts or have your diploma mailed until that hold is taken care of with our Student Accounts Office (studentaccounts@faulkner.edu).

Important Information

1. Only authorized honor cords, sashes, and/or medallions may be worn with the cap and gown at commencement.
2. NO Social Sorority or Fraternity sashes will be permitted. If you have them on, you will be asked to remove them during the ceremony. However, you can take pictures with them after the ceremony. Only awards/medallions or cords specified by your department related to your degree and provided by Faulkner can be worn.
3. Sensible dress shoes should be worn, and all shoes must have a strap. Extreme heels are strongly discouraged.
4. DO NOT bring valuables (purses, cameras, etc) with you to the line-up room. We cannot be responsible for any valuables you leave behind while in the ceremony.
5. Decoration of the mortar board (cap) is NOT allowed.
6. Our graduate-level degree programs do not receive honors.
7. Students in a one-year program (BBA, BCJ, BSB, BFSM, or HRM) must graduate with an overall GPA of at least 3.75 to graduate with honors.
  1. Students meeting this requirement will receive an honor cord and the recognition of “With Honors” at the graduation ceremony. It will also be noted on your transcript.
8. Students in all other programs (Traditional and Adult) must graduate with an overall GPA of at least 3.5 to graduate with honors.
  1. Students meeting this requirement with an overall GPA of 3.5 – 3.649 will receive the recognition of “Cum Laude” on their transcript and at the graduation ceremony.
  2. Students meeting this requirement with an overall GPA of 3.65 – 3.899 will receive the recognition of “Magna Cum Laude” on their transcript and at the graduation ceremony.
  3. Students meeting this requirement with an overall GPA of 3.9 – 4.0 will receive the recognition of “Summa Cum Laude” on their transcript and at the graduation ceremony.
  4. A student’s overall GPA is calculated based on the GPA obtained from Faulkner University classes and the GPA obtained from other institutions the student attended. If you meet one of the above requirements, you will receive an honor cord at the graduation ceremony. It will also be noted on your transcript.
9. A professional picture will be taken of each graduate during the ceremony. An email will be sent to your Faulkner email with a link to view and order prints. All inquiries go to The Grad Team at 833-4MYGRAD or marc@TheGradTeam.com.
10. NO TICKETS are issued for graduation. Due to the facility capacity, the fire marshal only allows so many guests per graduate, and infants and lap children are considered part of your guest count. You will be emailed the number of guests you are allowed to invite to attend the ceremony. All other guests will be seated in overflow and will watch the ceremony via livestream.
