Faulkner University Band

The Faulkner University Band is the university's largest instrumental ensemble. Members are selected by audition and perform as the "Marching Eagles" in the fall and as the Faulkner University Concert Band in the spring. Membership is open to both music majors and non-music majors. Scholarships are available to qualified applicants, regardless of the student's major.

Faulkner Jazz Ensemble

The Faulkner Jazz Ensemble is a traditional jazz combo/big band that performs music from a variety of jazz eras including swing, bebop, funk, and fusion. The group gives performances in the community and at least one on-campus concert per semester. Membership is open to both music majors and non-music majors.

Band Director - Stephen Foster

Dr. Stephen Foster is the director of bands and Associate Professor of Music at Faulkner University. With over thirty year's experience in music education, Stephen has directed bands in Alabama and Tennessee. He played trumpet with the Middle Tennessee State University Band of Blue and performed with the Belmont University Jazz Band. He continues to perform when time permits.

March with the Eagles Day

Spend the day with the Faulkner University Marching Eagles and enjoy a fun and exciting college game day experience! Participants will perform with the Marching Eagles in the stands and as part of their pregame and halftime shows.

Tentative schedule of events:

8:00 a.m. Check-in at the Fine Arts Center where pastries and juice will be served
8:30 a.m. Marching and music rehearsal
11:45 a.m. Participate in “Eagle Walk"
12:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided by the Marching Eagles
1:10 p.m. Pregame
1:30 p.m. Faulkner University vs. University of Pikeville
