Churchwell\u2019s wife and children were present. \u201cMark was known for his gentle manner and his practical advice for success in business and in life,\u201d Johnson said. \u201cHe often said, \u2018I choose to teach at Faulkner because I prefer to teach business from a Christian perspective. The best business instruction manual ever published is the Bible.\u2019\u201cHe was a loyal friend, loving husband and father, wise and caring mentor, generous supporter of charitable efforts throughout the region, and faithful servant of Jesus Christ. Almost always, when making a gift personally or through his business, he would ask to remain anonymous, saying, \u201cPlease don\u2019t tell anyone; I want my reward to be in heaven.\u201dThe award will be given annually in the spring term beginning in 2019. All full-time Faulkner University students will be eligible to submit proposals for evaluation by a panel of entrepreneurs.
