For Ryan Fox, a career in medical technology is about more than advanced robotics. It is about making a lasting difference in the lives of patients.
Fox, a two-time Faulkner University graduate, earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 2016 and completed his Master of Business Administration in 2025. Today, he serves as regional manager of Spine and Robotics for Medtronic, where he works alongside neurosurgeons during spinal procedures by operating robotic software that assists with the placement of pedicle screws.
The role allows him to directly impact patient outcomes through cutting-edge technology.
“Directly impacting patients’ outcomes and improving their quality of life is what I enjoy most about my work,” Fox said.
Fox credits his time at Faulkner University with preparing him for success both professionally and personally.
“I loved the community and the lifelong friendships I built during undergrad,” he said. “The science department gave me a tremendous foundation in anatomy that put me in a position to become the busiest robotic account in the U.S.”
While his academic preparation equipped him with the technical knowledge needed for a career in medical technology, Fox said the university’s greatest impact was on his faith.
“The staff at Faulkner taught me that as long as you put God first in your life, everything else will take care of itself,” he said. “Everything that happens to you in life, successes or mistakes, is all part of God’s plan and you’re exactly where you need to be.”
Today, Fox combines his scientific expertise, business education and faith-centered foundation to help surgeons deliver better outcomes for patients across the region.
