The Sanctuary at Cloverdale offers a Christian lens for understanding mental health, emotional distress, and the ways people respond to pain. The series considers how the image of God, emotions, values, and protective patterns shape the way we understand our experiences and make decisions. Practical tools will be provided for loosening the grip of emotional distress, choosing actions based on what matters most, and supporting those who are struggling. Participants will leave with language, concepts, and tools they can use in their own lives and in caring for others. The sessions are led by Alan Wages, Associate Professor of Family Studies, Faulkner University, in Harris-Parker 263.
