Program Information

Every organization today—from hospitals and banks to sports teams and nonprofits—runs on data. But data alone doesn’t create value. People who know how to analyze, interpret, and communicate data do.

A major in Business Analytics prepares students to bridge the gap between raw data and smart decision-making. This degree is ideal for students who enjoy problem-solving, critical thinking, and using technology to answer real business questions.

Unlike degrees that focus only on theory or only on technology, Business Analytics blends business, data, and strategy, making graduates highly adaptable and in demand across industries.

What Makes This Degree Valuable?

    • High Demand Skills – Employers are actively seeking graduates who can work with data and turn it into business insight
    • Versatile Career Paths – Business Analytics applies to finance, marketing, healthcare, operations, logistics, sports, and more
    • Strong Career Growth – Analytics roles consistently rank among the fastest-growing and highest-paying business careers. The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects data scientist employment to grow 34% from 2024–2034, and operations research analysts to grow 21% over the same period—much faster than the average for all occupations.
    • Future-Focused – Data-driven decision making isn’t a trend—it’s the new standard

Graduates with a Business Analytics degree are prepared for a wide range of roles, including:

    • Business Analyst – Use data to improve business processes and performance
    • Data Analyst – Analyze and visualize data to uncover insights and trends
    • Marketing Analyst – Evaluate customer data and campaign performance
    • Financial Analyst – Support investment, budgeting, and forecasting decisions
    • Operations Analyst – Improve efficiency in supply chains and operations
    • Management Analyst / Consultant – Help organizations solve complex problems
    • Analytics Coordinator or Specialist – Support data-driven initiatives across departments

These roles exist in nearly every industry, including:

    • Healthcare
    • Finance and banking
    • Retail and e-commerce
    • Technology
    • Manufacturing and logistics
    • Government and nonprofit organizations
