Dennis Mitchell Henry, J.D.

9th President, Faulkner University

Mitch Henry is Faulkner University’s president since June 1, 2022.  He is a native of Hope Hull, Alabama.  Mitch attended Auburn University for his B.A. and M.A. degrees in communication, and he received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Alabama School of Law.

Mitch is a founding member of Webster, Henry, Bradwell, Cohan, Speagle, and DeShazo, P.C. and a 29 year practicing attorney.  Now retired from the firm, his former practice specialized in business and insurance litigation, estate planning, education and agriculture law. 

As an Associate Professor at Faulkner University, Mitch taught law to undergraduate and graduate students and as an adjunct professor at Faulkner’s Thomas Goode Jones School of Law.

Mitch also served as Professor of Practice in Auburn University’s College of Agriculture, where he taught agriculture law. 

He is a former Elder of the Vaughn Park Church of Christ where he continues to teach Bible and serve. He recently published Cross Connections, his first Bible study book, whose net proceeds go to AGAPE of Central Alabama to support foster care and adoption for vulnerable children.

Mitch and his wife Cindy Hardin Henry have three children, Mitchell – wife Rebecca Mann Henry (grandson – Clint), Lauren – husband Chase Thigpen (grandson – Abel), and Ashby. Mitch and Cindy reside on Prairie Oak, their family farm located in Hope Hull, Alabama.
