Mitch Henry

President, Faulkner University

Mitch Henry is the ninth president of Faulkner University, a position he has held since June 2022. Before becoming president, he served as an associate professor at Faulkner University, teaching law to undergraduate and graduate students, and as an adjunct professor at Faulkner’s Thomas Goode Jones School of Law. He also taught agricultural law at Auburn University.

Henry earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from Auburn University in 1988 and a master’s degree in communications from Auburn in 1990, both summa cum laude. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1993.

Before joining Faulkner’s administration, Henry practiced law for 29 years and was a founding member of the Montgomery law firm Webster, Henry, Bradwell, Cohan, Speagle and DeShazo, P.C., which focused on civil litigation, insurance, agricultural law and trial practice.

As president, Henry continues to emphasize Faulkner’s mission of Christian higher education and preparing students to serve others through their chosen vocations. He has also served as chairman of the Alabama Association of Independent Colleges and Universities.

President Henry and his wife, Cindy, have three children and two grandchildren, and live on their family cattle farm in Hope Hull, Ala.
