B.S. in Math

Faulkner University’s Department of Mathematics is committed to providing students with knowledge and skills necessary for the pursuit of advanced degrees and/or employment in a society of rapidly emerging developments in science and technology. 

Program Objectives

Earning a B.S. in mathematics at Faulkner University provides graduates with an academic foundation for examining data and solving real-world problems. The focus is on developing critical thinking skills and using them qualitatively, quantitatively, and analytically. Anchored in Christian faith and values, the Faulkner University mathematics degree program also encourages students to develop in character and ethics to reach their full potential.

Admission Requirements
  • Must be a high school graduate with a regular or advanced diploma or have a GED certificate
  • If out of high school for less than five years, ACT (minimum 18 composite) or SAT (minimum 970) scores are required. ACT or SAT scores are not required for anyone having graduated high school more than five years ago.
  • ACT or SAT scores are not required for transfer applicants with a minimum of 24 transferable hours from a regionally accredited college or university.

It is our goal to provide guidance, information and knowledge to the students of Faulkner University, encouraging them to reach their full potential. Students choosing mathematics can expect challenging course work in small classes from professors genuinely interested in their development academically, professionally and personally.

FAQ

What is Rolling Admissions?

The program evaluates PTCAS verified applications from June 15th until May 1st. This means that we conduct interviews both in the fall and spring semesters. Rather than admitting applicants all at once, we make admission decisions throughout the year.
