Welcome to the Faulkner Law Class of 2020

Online Registration

In order to finalize your spot in the Class of 2020, you must complete online registration for classes. For new Faulkner Law students, online registration will be available July 17-19. You will be receiving detailed information from the Admissions Office that is essential for you to have before you will be able to register.

As you begin your law school career, the Law School hosts two programs, Mini Prep and New Student Orientation, to assist law students in their transition from an undergraduate academic environment to the unparalleled academic rigors of law school. Although Mini Prep is an optional program, we strongly recommend that you attend. New Student Orientation is mandatory.


MiniPrep 2017

MiniPrep is an innovative program that provides incoming students with a skills-based, interactive, and immersive academic experience highlighting the most important skills and expectations for first year students. This optional free program is open to all members of the Class of 2020. We highly encourage incoming law students to attend. If you plan to attend MiniPrep 2017, you must sign up using the link below.

MiniPrep 2017 will be held on August 9 – 11, 2017 at the law school.

Dress for MiniPrep is business casual (i.e. long pants and polo shirt for men, dress/skirt/pants for women). Please no hats, tank tops, t-shirts, shorts, leggings, or flip flops.

New Student Orientation 2017

The Faulkner Law New Student Orientation 2017 is mandatory for all incoming students. New Student Orientation will be held on Monday, August 14 & Tuesday, August 15 at the law school.

Dress for New Student Orientation is business professional (i.e. suit and tie for men, suit (jacket with skirt or pants) for women). Note, if you do not own a suit, please dress nicely.  Please no hats, tank tops, t-shirts, shorts, leggings, or flip flops.

Important Information


Once you have completed online registration, you may begin purchasing your textbooks from the vendor of your choice. The Faulkner University Online Bookstore is located online here:  Faulkner’s Online BookstorePlease be sure to refer to your individual schedule when purchasing textbooks.

Once you have completed online registration AND have completed the financial aid process, you may request a book voucher.


The Civil Procedure Supplement is available on TWEN. As first year students will not be receiving Westlaw passwords until Orientation, a copy of the Civil Procedure Supplement can be found here.

For Foundations of Law, the first three weeks of course readings will be provided to each student at Orientation check-in on Monday, August 14th. Please bring a three ring binder with you to place the course readings into.

Financial Aid Information

Please complete and return your Direct Deposit Form, along with a voided check, as soon as possible in order to have your loan money directly deposited into your account and available to you at the earliest possible time. Please note that your financial institution may or may not make your funds immediately available thereafter, so check with your bank regarding when you can access the funds. Please note: The Law Student Loan Information Form is a required form.

Faulkner Law does not have on-campus housing for law students. We have provided a link below that takes you to a survey our students have completed in order to give you a good place to start when looking for a place to live. There are many outstanding apartments and neighborhoods that are a short drive from campus. We encourage you to start planning for your move today!
