Welcome to the Office of the Institutional Review Board for Research.

The Mission of the Institutional Review Board for Research is:

  • To facilitate the scholarship of faculty and students,
  • To promote the Christian character and mission of the institution in the scholarship of faculty and students,
  • To ensure integrity and ethical conduct in research, and,
  • To ensure that research practices minimize risk to subjects, both human and non-human, and that potential benefits from research activities are maximized.

 

For this mission, the University and the Institutional Review Board for Research have established procedures and guidelines for research conducted by Faulkner University faculty, staff and students. Faculty, staff, and students should carefully review the IRB's policies, procedures, and timelines prior to engaging in any research activities.
