Dean Charles Nelson Returns as Faulkner Law Dean
Dean Charles Nelson is returning to the position of Faulkner Law Dean effective June 1, 2015. Having served as dean from 2004-2014, Nelson is no stranger to the position. Nelson remained part of the Faulkner Law faculty to teach Property and Wills and Trusts after ending his ten-year tenure as dean. Prior to becoming a member of the Faulkner Law family, Nelson spent thirty-three years in the roles of professor, assistant dean, associate dean, and interim dean at Pepperdine University’s School of Law. Nelson played an integral role in Faulkner Law achieving ABA accreditation in 2009.
Nelson is returning to the dean’s position as Faulkner Law says goodbye to Dean Matt A. Vega. Vega recently accepted a position at Freed-Hardeman University, his undergraduate alma mater. Vega will serve as vice president of enrollment management, and associate professor of law and politics. Faulkner Law is grateful to Dean Vega for his service to this institution, and wishes him the very best in his future endeavors.
