Multiplex Amenities

The Freeman- Harrison Student Multiplex is the facility where students, staff and faculty can come and take advantage of the following amenities:

  • Fitness Center: Cardio and weight machines
  • Basketball Courts
  • Walking Track (located on the third floor): 1/14 mile length
  • The Nest includes:
    • Game Room: pool and ping pong
    • Commuter Student Lounge
    • The Cinema: small theater with 22 theater lounge chairs
  • Men and Women’s locker rooms
  • Racquetball Courts
  • The Grille is open during the fall and spring semester. The Grille offers burgers, fries, wraps and lots of other delicious snacks. The Grille also accepts Eagle bucks.

Multiplex Rules

  1. No one may enter the Multiplex without their Faulkner I.D. card and/or membership card.
  2. Profanity, fighting or any other unsportsmanlike behavior will not be tolerated.
  3. Shirts must be worn at all times.
  4. Proper athletic shoes must be worn at all times.
  5. Anyone being destructive to the Multiplex or equipment will be asked to leave immediately.
  6. Free weights in the weight room must be returned to the racks after use.
  7. If you are strong enough to lift the weights then you are strong enough to put them up when you are finished.
  8. The track is 1/14 of a mile. Runners are to stay on the outside of the track and walkers are to stay on the inside.
  9. Racquetball courts can be reserved by contacting the multiplex by email. Courts can be reserved for only that day. All racquetball equipment can be checked out.
  10. Goggles are recommended for play in the racquetball courts.
  11. Lockers are available in the multiplex. Any lock left on a locker not reserved will be cut off.
  12. Multiplex is not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged valuables.
  13. Towels will be provided in the weight room to wipe down equipment, please do not take towels from the weight room.
  14. Alcohol and tobacco products are not allowed in the facility at any time. No exceptions.
  15. Skates, skateboards, roller blades, scooters, or bikes will not be allowed to be worn or ridden in the facility at any time.
  16. In order to check out equipment you must leave your ID card or membership card at the front desk.
  17. The Multiplex closes promptly at the advertised hour. You should try to conclude your activities 15 minutes before closing.
  18. Free play in the multiplex can be suspended for intramural, intercollegiate and other school sponsored activities.
  19. Dunking and hanging on the rims is prohibited in the multiplex. Damage charges will be made if a student damages the backboards or rims while dunking.
  20. All food and drinks will be confined to the second floor snack area and the student activities room. Only bottled drinks are allowed on the first floor of the multiplex.
  21. No one under the age of 16 allowed in the weight room.
  22. No food allowed.
  23. Dumbbells and plate weights must be returned to the rack after use. Do not leave them on the bar or the floor.
  24. Please limit your cardiovascular activities to 30 minutes if there are people waiting to use the machine.
  25. Please throw away all trash when finished.
  26. Please put towels in the laundry basket when finished.

Multiplex Membership

The Multiplex is open to Faulkner Students, Faculty and Staff, Faulkner Alumni (with a valid Multiplex membership card), family members of faculty and staff (with a valid Multiplex membership card), and guests of the university.

Guests

  • Day pass: $10
  • Week pass: $20
  • Month pass: $60

Faculty and Staff

  • Spouse:  free
  • Children 15 and under: free with parental supervision required
  • Children 16 and over: $75 per year ($6.25 per month) membership card required

Students

  • Spouse: $75 per year ($6.25 per month) membership card required
  • Children 15 and under: free with parental supervision required
  • Children 16 and over: $75 per year ($6.25 per month) membership card required

Alumni

  • Alumni who are members of the Alumni Association and holders of an ID are free
  • Alumni: $75 per year ($6.25 per month) non Alumni Association members, Membership card required
  • Spouse: $75 per year ($6.25 per month) membership card required
  • Children 15 and under: free with parental supervision required at all times
  • Children 16 and over: $75 per year ($6.25 per month) membership card required

Children 15 and under

  • Are not allowed in the weight rooms (even with parental supervision).
  • Must be supervised at all times in the Multiplex.
