CALL FOR PAPERS

Faulkner Law Review Accepting Submissions for Inaugural Publication

Faulkner University's Thomas Goode Jones School of Law is quickly gaining prestige in the areas of advocacy, alternative dispute resolution, civil rights, clinics, and legal scholarship.  In keeping with the school's growing reputation, the 2009-10 editorial board is excited to announce the launch of the Faulkner Law Review.

As a part of this launch, the Faulkner Law Review is offering distinguished legal scholars, jurists and public servants in the legal community a unique opportunity to be a part of this history-making inaugural volume.  We are seeking lead articles for our inaugural issue from distinguished scholars, jurists and citizens serving the public interest for publication during the 2009-10 academic year.

The editorial board accepts submissions of completed articles as well as thorough summaries (of at least 250 words) of articles proposed for consideration.  The target deadline for submissions of full articles is August 15, 2009.  Summaries for proposed articles should be submitted for consideration no later than July 15, 2009.

The 2009-10 editorial board has made it a priority to publish excellent legal scholarship on significant issues of law and public policy by established and emerging legal scholars.  We are committed to conducting a speedy yet thorough review of submitted articles.  Further, the Board is dedicated to accommodating authors of selected articles with first-class support and administering the editing process with professionalism, efficiency, and open communication.  All submissions to the Faulkner Law Review will be reviewed thoroughly by an articles editor.  The Editor-in-Chief or the Editorial Board members may further review submitted works upon recommendation by an articles editor.  The Law Review does not currently restrict submissions based on length.  A lead article is typically at least 15,000 words in length.

The Faulkner Law Review will publish two editions per year on a wide range of legal issues and public policy.  We are also honored to co-host the annual Fred Gray Sr., Civil Rights Symposium, as well as various other speakers and events throughout the academic year.  A separate call for papers for the symposium issue will be forthcoming.
