Church Relations
The Church Relations Office at Faulkner University seeks to serve congregations while also raising funds to teach the Bible to all Faulkner students and train preachers. The relationship we have with churches is mutually beneficial. As churches support our efforts, Faulkner provides the following services:
- Provide substitute / guest preachers
- Arrange workshops and seminars by Faulkner faculty
- Conduct a weekend meeting organized and presented by Faulkner students
- Organize a retreat/workshop/seminar for Elders at various locations
- Present special events during the year:
- Bible Lectureship
The Bible Lectureship is held the first week of March each year on the Faulkner campus. Our theme for 2012 is "Christ Above All: A Study in the Book of Hebrews." During this week, a variety of talented men and women will speak in depth on topics based in Hebrews. All who attend will be inspired and encouraged.
- EldersConnect
EldersConnect is an annual retreat in June for church elders, leaders and their wives held on the Faulkner campus. The purpose of this retreat is to provide information for the unique responsibilities of an eldership and to allow shepherds to encourage one another, share experiences and develop loving relationships.
Preachers Challenge - Take the challenge and share the Gospel!
When V.P. Black donated the revenue from two speaking engagements to the training of aspiring preachers studying at Faulkner University, he then challenged other preachers and leaders to join him. Preachers Challenge has since raised $1,000,000 to benefit Faulkner University's V.P. Black College of Biblical Studies.
Each year preachers are challenged to donate or raise $1,000 or more for the College. These donations provide vital funds for Bible instruction for ALL Faulkner students. Thanks to the support of many preachers and churches, over 42,000 Faulkner students have been taught the gospel through Bible courses since the inception of Preachers Challenge. Support for Preacher's Challenge has far reaching effects.
