Jessie: Missions

“They remembered me, they remembered my name. It made me feel really good that I had made an impact on them.”

Jessie Coats“They” are the people of Honduras. “Me” is Faulkner University Junior Jessie Coats, talking about her involvement in a second mission trip to Honduras. “I got an email (before the first trip) and it really touched my heart, and I just knew this was something I needed to do,” Jessie said. She took her first trip in January of her sophomore year, and went again in August before starting her junior year. She notes that the people of Honduras have made a major impression on her life. She gets calls and emails from Honduras on a regular basis now. “I love everyone down there. It is just incredible.”

Jessie, who is fulfilling a lifetime desire to attend a Christian college, chose Faulkner University because she fell in love with it when she made a recruiting visit. Little did she know the impact she would soon have on the lives of others.
