What is supplied in the dorm room?
Each dorm room is set up to house two students. Each student is provided a twin extra long bed, closet or wardrobe, small dresser, and desk area. Davis dorm is a suite setup- with two bedrooms sharing one bathroom. All other dorm rooms are designed for two students have a private bath in each room.
What do I need to bring for my dorm room?
Twin XL bedding, toiletries, school supplies, rugs (for room and bathroom), shower curtain, trash cans, outlet strips, cleaning supplies, linens (sheets/towels), toliet paper
You might want to coordinate with your roommate for things such as tv, microwave, minifridge, etc. before purchasing any larger ticket items.
All utilities are provided, including cable tv, local phone service, LAN line (apartments), and wireless access (dorms). Phones are not provided.
Can I paint or decorate in my room?
No paint, wallpaper, border, etc. may be changed or added. If you wish to hang items on the walls, you may use push pins, straight pins or tiny nails.
What stores are nearby?
Within just a short distance from campus, there are lots of stores available, including: Walmart, Publix, Big Lots, Dollar General, Freds, Target, Home Depot, Winn Dixie, Lowes, Best Buy, Linens N Things, Bed Bath and Beyond- as well as Eastdale Mall with Sears, JC Penny, Belks, etc.
Most items you will need for your room are easily purchased after your arrival.
How can my parents find me in an emergency?
The dorm supervisors and the Dean of Students office are both good sources for imformation regarding residential students.

How old do I have to be to live in the apartments?
The apartments are for seniors or students who are 21 years or older. If there is room, students turning 21 during the semester will be considered for placement. How are the apartments set up?
Each apartment has four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Each resident has a private bedroom with an individual lock. A closet (appx. 4 ft), a built in desk, dresser, and full sized bed are supplied in every bedroom. Both bathrooms have a double vanity area, with storage underneath, and a tub and toilet area. Two residents share one bathroom on one side of the apartment. The other two bedrooms and bathroom are located on the opposite side of the living area. The common areas include a living room, kitchen, and laundry area. The living area is equipped with a couch, one chair, side table, coffee table and a shelf area suitable for TV and book storage. The kitchen has an island that seats four, an electric range, refrigerator, microwave, sink, and dishwasher. The laundry room is located off the kitchen, and has a standard size washer and dryer provided. Each apartment has either a balcony or patio as well.
Kitchen items are not provided, and must be supplied by the residents.
