Eagles blow by Barons
Oct. 18, 2007
Montgomery, Ala. - The Eagles got off to a slow start Wednesday afternoon as they took on conference opponent Brewton-Parker. Faulkner had to rally at the end of game one winning by a mere two points. After battling through mistakes and frustration the rest of the match was down hill and the Eagles pulled out another victory 30-28, 30-21, 30-16.

The win over the Barons will serve as a springboard into the toughest weekend of the season. The Eagles will face five accomplished programs in the course of two days. On Friday Faulkner will face conference rival Reinhardt College followed by a shootout with cross-town opponent Huntingdon College. The evening will be capped by a Region XIII rematch with Loyola University.

Saturday will prove just as difficult for Faulkner. The program will face another conference rival in Southern Wesleyan followed by the most anticipated rematch of the year with the University of Mobile Rams. The Eagles beat the Rams in a five game match earlier in the year and Mobile has not lost a match since. The game will also be the last home game of the year for Faulkner.
