Lady Lions too much for Eagles

Oct. 12, 2007

Montgomery, Ala. - The Eagles started the day off strong with a win over Florida College and hoped to sweep the Friday pool by defeating Freed-Hardeman University. The Eagles were aggressive and consistent in the beginning, but the Lady Lions’ strong offense proved too much. The Eagles fell in three games 30-23, 30-17, 30-24.

The Lady Lions continued their dominating season today improving to 18-1 overall. Their only loss came Tuesday evening against rival Martin Methodist (13-5) in a five game battle. Today’s match was the first non-conference loss for the Eagles in 16 games. Faulkner sits at 16-8 on the season and will face Pensacola Christian and Southeastern University tomorrow.
