Eagles handle Lady Barons in four

Faulkner hosted conference opponent Brewton-Parker on Thursday evening and after jumping out to a convincing win in game one, came up short in game two. The Eagles regain their composure and took sets three and four. Faulkner moved to 4-5 in the conference after knocking off the Lady Barons 25-14, 23-25, 25-21, 25-16.

The Eagles' offense was led by senior outside hitter Holly Hutcheson who had 17 kills, hitting .424, with 17 digs and a pair of aces. Jessika Robinson followed with nine kills, hitting. 412, and added six total blocks. Middle Kimber Holt also had nine kills. Setter Shaleen Knight had 28 assists. Kari Wiggins led the defensive side of the ball with 21 digs.

The Eagles will open the Faulkner Invitational tomorrow with a conference match against Columbia College at noon. The Eagles are now 11-11 on the season.
