Montgomery, Ala. – After losing three straight to William Carey this season the Eagles were determined to put the Crusader streak to an end. In game one of Saturday’s doubleheader the Eagles did just that. Though the Crusaders got out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning Faulkner was able to fight back and clinch the 3-2 victory. The win not only put an end to the Crusaders’ 3-0 run on the Eagles, but to their 8-0 record as well.

Jimmerson lost her first game of the season against the Crusaders in early February, but since then has had the hot hand. She has won three straight including this big win over undefeated William Carey.

Senior Cheryl Lavarnway blasted her second home run of the season against the Crusaders and finished the game 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Jennifer Ellisor was also 2-for-3 in game one.
