Montgomery, Ala. – The Eagles entered the Invitational on a two game winning streak. After defeating Thomas University in a doubleheader the previous weekend Faulkner was looking to maintain the momentum at home. Their first opponent of the day was Spring Hill College and though they ranked among the nation’s best programs, the Eagles remained determined and focused and defeated the Badgers 5-0. The win moved the Eagles to 3-4 overall and would give the young team added confidence going into a rematch with William Carey.
