Faulkner Invitational draws top teams

Montgomery, Ala. – After an unfortunate rainout on day one the Faulkner Invitational hit the soggy ground running Saturday mourning. A total of eight teams took part in the event held at Faulkner’s Softball Complex and the neighboring field at Alabama Christian Academy. Some of the nation’s top programs took the fields including preseason No. 7 Shorter College, No. 11 Lee University, No. 13 University of Mobile and No. 21 Thomas University. Spring Hill, which is currently in the receiving votes pool, also attended along with William Carey and Belhaven College.
