Faulkner takes one in conference doubleheader

Katie Godfrey hits a two-RBI double to pull the Eagles within one in game two

March 29

Faulkner hosted conference rival Reinhardt College in a doubleheader this afternoon at the softball complex. The Eagles took the opener 1-0, but in spite of a late rally, came up short in game two 4-3.

Having lost six straight conference games, the Eagles were in desperate need of a turnaround. Game one was uneventful until the bottom of the sixth when a double by Katie Godfrey put runners in scoring position. Courtney Barber followed with an RBI single to give the home team the game’s only run.
