The win will provide the Eagles with some momentum as they head to Cleveland, Tennessee, for a battle with No. 3 Lee University. The Flames are 5-2 overall and 1-0 in the Southern States Athletic Conference. The Flames' most recently defeated Auburn Montgomery 2-0. Lee sparked the season with a 1-0 victory over No. 4 Azusa Pacific and have only fallen twice thus far. Their losses came at the hands of No. 1 California Baptist in a 1-0 double overtime clash and No. 2 Lindsey Wilson College also 1-0.

The 5-3 (2-1 SSAC) Eagles will look to make an impact on the national stage this weekend. As of Wednesday Jagt and Gallea are still questionable for Thursday and their absence could prove pivotal in that outcome. But head coach Jeff Ireland and his team know that competing with a top caliber opponent will take all 11 on the field.

“I'd love to have them both for that game,” Ireland confessed, “but they need to heal and there is a lot more season after the Lee game. Win or lose we hope to have a chance at them again in the conference tournament. Right now we are focusing on the positives and we are going to do the best we can regardless of who is on that field.”
The event is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday evening.
