Brett Mitchell - Head Men's Coach

Brett Mitchell enters his third season as the men's head soccer caoch at Faulkner University. Last season the Men's Program won the first game in school history beating Chowan College 3-2 in the second overtime.
Coach Mitchell was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He moved to Tennessee, coached 6 years at Ezell-Harding Christian School, and started their soccer program and ran the summer soccer camps for them. Their high school boys went to state last year and finished third in the state of Tennessee. He has also worked soccer clinics and camps for The Charles Davis Foundation and Lipscomb University. Currently he plays and coaches for Torch Soccer Missions in Honduras.

Bruno Resende - Assistant Men's and Women's Coach
Bruno Resende enters his third season as the assistant coach for both the men's and women's soccer teams. Before becoming a part of the Eagle program, Bruno was a standout midfielder for crosstown rival Auburn Montgomery. While at AUM, Resende played in two national championship matches. In 2001 and in 2004 AUM finished second in the national tournament. Resende spent 1999 and 2000 coaching at Pitagoras High School in Brazil, before coming to America. Resende played six years in the Cruzeiro Esporte Clube youth division.
Resende graduated from AUM with a bachelor's degree in Physical Education/Sports Leadership in 2004. He also received a bachelor's degree in Sports Management from Faulkner University in 2006 and is currently working on his Master's degree in Physical Education here as well.
In 2006 Resende played for the Atlanta Silverbacks in the PDL and earlier this year played professionally for the Massachusetts Pioneers in the USL. Resende has a UFMG coaching certificate and a FMFS officiating liscence. In January 2007, Resende became a member of the NSCAA and in February became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
