Faulkner set for scrimmage tonight

Saturday, Aug. 18 - Head coach Jim Nichols put Faulkner through a light workout Friday in shoulder pads and helmets, in preparation of the Eagles’ second scrimmage tonight.
The scrimmage will be at Goodwyn Junior High at 7 p.m. and is open to public. Unlike the controlled scrimmage Wednesday night, this one will be conducted like a game, with referees and coaches signaling in plays.
"We really feel like Saturday night will get us the information we need to develop a depth chart as we get ready for our first game," Nichols said. "We expect it to be an exciting night for our guys and our fans."
All 140-plus players will make the trip to Pikeville, Ky., for the Eagles’ inaugual game on Sept. 1, according to a recent announcement by Faulkner President Billy Hilyer.
