Triston McCathern selected as MSC Special Teams Player of the Week

Faulkner University's Triston McCathern earned the Mid-South Conference's Special Teams Player of the Week honor after his brilliant performance Saturday against No. 11 Shorter College.
The freshman running back from Lynn Haven, Florida, secured the award with his footwork in the kicking game. McCathern returned four punts for 33 total yards and four kickoffs for a total of 177 yards and a 44.3 yard average.

McCathern's efforts climaxed with a 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and new school record.
This is the first Player of the Week award for the Eagles this season.
