Linebacker Sean Thom took home two of the Mid-South Conference's top honors this week. The Papillion, Neb., native was named to the MSC West Division's Defensive All-Conference Team. The junior led the conference and nation in tackles throughout the regular season. He finished the year with 157 total tackles and a 14.3 tackle per game average.

Perhaps more importantly, however, Thom received the West Division's Champions of Character Award. The Champions of Character motto of the NAIA is centered around five core values: Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Servant Leadership and Sportsmanship.

The Faulkner football program entered conference play for the first time this season and Thom is the first Eagle to receive such honors.
