Leah Hunt - Cheerleading Coach
Leah Hunt is entering her second year as the cheerleading coach at Faulkner University. She became the head coach in the fall of 2006 after serving as the assistant the previous year. She has assembled an energetic squad for 2007 and they will be encouraging the athletes and bringing the fans to their feet at football and basketball games.
Leah has set a high standard for the cheerleading program that is reflected both on and off the field and court. The 2007 squad will be lead by captain Morgan Brantley with the help of returning cheerleaders Brooke Bailey and Melanie Shores. New to the squad this year are Lindsay Ashmore, Brittany Kilpatrick, Rebecca Logan, Tiffany Tew and Anthony Staten, who will serve as the Eagles’ mascot.
Having cheered at Faulkner in the late 1990’s, Hunt has been involved with athletics most of her life. She and her husband Mark have been married for eight years and have three children: Carson, age 6, Hayes, 3, and Marley, 5 months.
