Eagles No. 4 in preseason poll

Montgomery, Ala. - The Faulkner basketball team is ranked No. 4 in the NAIA preseason coaches' poll released Wednesday. The Eagles were ranked No. 3 in a poll recently released by Victory Sports Network, the official fan website of the NAIA.
Faulkner is coming off a 24-11 season in which it won the Southern States Athletic Conference regular season championship and made it to the Fab Four of the NAIA national tournament. Oklahoma City, which beat Faulkner in the semi finals on its way to the national title, is ranked first in the poll. The Eagles return three starters - senior guards Richarde McCray and Bryant Murray and senior forward Jon Uriarte. Other returnees include senior forward Brandon Vaughn, senior guard Jeremy Lunn, junior forward Aaron Greenwood and sophomore guard Josh Gholston.
Lee University, also a member of the SSAC, is No. 21 in the preseason poll. Auburn Montgomery and Southern Poly were in the receiving votes category. For the complete poll visit www.naia.org.
