Eagles handle Rams in opener

Montgomery, Ala. - The Faulkner basketball team opened the season at home this afternoon with the University of Mobile. After a slow start the Eagles gained momentum and sealed the game 81-74.
The Eagles struggled early on with ball control and missed shots and the Rams darted out to a seven point lead. But the that lead was short lived as Faulkner's defense stengthend and shots began to fall.

Brent "BJ" Johnson had an excellent game finishing with 11 points, four rebounds and three steals. Richarde McCray also excelled with nine points, seven rebounds and a pair of steals. Bryant Murray knocked home 14 points and had six assists.

The Eagles' next game will be on Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m. as they host William Carey. The Crusaders will enter the game at 1-1 on the season.
