Montgomery, Ala. - Richarde McCray’s 15 points led a balanced Faulkner attack as the Eagles took control early and cruised to an 88-59 Southern States Athletic Conference victory over Reinhardt Thursday night at Tine Davis Gymnasium.

McCray was the only Eagle in double figures, but he did have plenty of support. Three Faulkner players – Jeremy Lunn, Reggie Dupree and Jonathan Walker – had nine points apiece, while three others – Jon Uriarte, Aaron Greenwood and Dae Halliburton added eight each.

“Any win in this league is a big win, but we’re still not taking care of the basketball well,’’ said Faulkner coach Jim Sanderson, whose Eagles committed 24 turnovers. “To stay in our conference race, we have to do a better job of protecting the ball. Overall, though, I liked our effort and our balance tonight.’’
