Moore named SSAC Player of the Week

January 12
Faulkner's Randell Moore has been named the Southern States Athletic Conference Player of the Week. The junior out of Tobago leads the team in scoring with an average of nearly 12 points per game. Moore took his performance to new heights last week when he averaged 33 points and 5 rebounds in a pair of conference showdowns.
Moore put up 30 points and had two rebounds against Brewton-Parker and elevated his play even further, racking up 36 points and eight boards against top conference opponent Southern Poly. He was 14-of-16 from the free-throw line against the Hornets and knocked down an impressive 28 total free throws in the two games.
Moore is the first Eagle to receive the honor so far this season. This marks the second Player of the Week award of the 2008-2009 season by the SSAC.
