2nd Annual High School Showcase to be held January 3rd 2006

The 2nd Annual High School Winter Showcase will be held January 3rd 2006 at Harrison Field.  The showcase, which is for any high school aged baseball player in the 9th-12th grade, will begin at 8 AM.  Area college coaches and professional scouts will be in attendance.  Players will have the chance to exhibit their skills in the 60 yard dash, their arm strength and defensive skills at their positions, and their hitting ability at the plate.

“This showcase is profitable for all sides involved” says head Faulkner coach Andy Priola.  “It allows those of us that are college coaches and scouts to see many players at one time while at the same time allowing the players to be seen by multiple universities and professional teams at one time.  Not only that but with the showcase being in early January it allows a player to get some work in before his high school season gets going.”

The cost of the showcase is $60 for participants registered before January 3rd and $75 for those that register on the 3rd.
