Faulkner junior outfielder Kevin Leslie has been selected as a second team NAIA All-American. The Stone Mountain, Ga., native turned in a remarkable season for the Eagles, hitting .403 with 14 doubles, 17 home runs, 50 RBIs and 15 stolen bases. He also excelled in the field, going the entire season without committing an error.
“Kevin came in mid-semester and was just a great player for us,’’ Faulkner head baseball coach Brent Barker said. “He can run, and he has great power and great athleticism. We think he has a good chance to get drafted.’’
Leslie transferred to Faulkner from Georgia Perimeter Community College and has one year of collegiate eligibility remaining. He was selected first team All-Southern States Athletic Conference as well as first team All-Region XIII.
