Feb. 27, 2008
Montgomery, Ala. – The first NAIA Top 25 poll was released this afternoon and Faulkner University found itself in the No. 19 slot. The Eagles, who were not ranked in the preseason polls, have a tough road ahead of them as they take on some of the nation’s best programs. Over the next two weeks the Eagles will face two Top 10 teams and another program that is receiving votes.
Faulkner travels to Cleveland, Tenn., this weekend to take on conference rival Lee University which currently holds the No. 3 position in the poll. Tuesday the team will travel to William Carey which is currently in the receiving votes pool before they go up against Trevecca Nazarene which currently claims the No. 10 slot.
The Eagles are currently 15-4 and are 3-0 in the SSAC.
