Montgomery, Ala. – Faulkner kicked the day off with a seven inning game against Missouri Baptist University. The Spartans were a last minute addition to the afternoon’s events when the team they were scheduled to play canceled last minute. The Eagles proved too much for the Spartans and won the game 4-2.

     Brent DeFoor opened the afternoon for the Eagles striking out five batters in the game, while allowing only five hits. DeFoor was calm on the mound throughout the contest even when faced with loaded bases on two accounts. Stellar pitching and keen fielding held the visiting team to only a single run in both situations.

     Jonathan Cagle was 2-for-3 in the game and scored two runs. Chris Myles was 2-for-2 with a pair of RBIs and TJ Santos was 1-for-3 with an RBI. The Eagles moved to 10-1.
